Linda Judge is an IP and transactional attorney with over twenty years of experience representing private and public entities, from startup through many phases of growth and development. Linda draws on her extensive experience in legal transactions and client counseling to assist her clients with joint ventures, technology transfer, corporate partnering, strategic transactions, option and license agreements and commercial contracts including service, supply, manufacturing and distribution agreements. Linda is also a registered patent attorney with a technical background in life sciences. Linda's industrial experience includes Biotechnology, AgTech, CleanTech, Synthetic Biology, Diagnostics, Digital Health and Medical Devices, as well as Internet technologies and the interface between life sciences and computer software.
Linda understands the need to have a “lean and mean” IP strategy no matter whether you are an entrepreneur, a startup, a corporation, or an academic research institution. She helps her clients protect their intellectual property in a very strategic manner that integrates technology and business goals.
Linda has practiced at some of the largest and most respected law firms in the United States including DLA Piper where she was a partner and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, where she worked in the corporate and transactional group. In addition to her "big law" experience, Linda has worked in-house for several biotech companies and in small law firms where she handled a multitude of IP and corporate issues.
With her deep technical background, Linda has supported patent litigation and also has carried out diligence on small and large entities as part of mergers, acquisitions, asset sales and investments on behalf of companies and investors. Linda helps her clients prepare for diligence, advises on the issues that arise during the process, and carries out complicated and technical diligence in a time-efficient manner.
Linda prides herself on her interest and understanding of life sciences and takes a business-minded approach to helping life science entities achieve their goals. Linda recognizes that in reliance on cellular and molecular processes, biotechnology plays an ever increasing role in our lives. Linda's experience on the technical/research and legal side of life science and biotech organizations provides her with insights into legal issues specific to the industry and enables her to effectively serve her clients.
In addition to her biotech experience, Linda has a wealth of experience assisting high tech companies with their IP and technical matters across a broad spectrum of technologies from software to green tech and beyond.
